Fair Market Value
(2, 3, 4 and 5-year leases)
Fair market value leases are true operating leases that provide lessees the opportunity for off the balance sheet financing with easy terms and conditions. FMV leases are often the most affordable leases available. During the lease period the lease company retains ownership of the leased assets. Multiple end of lease options are available to the lessee at the end of the lease term.
Dollar Buyout Financing
With dollar buyout financing, also called a capital lease, the borrower is truly creating an installment purchase plan with a fixed buyout amount at the end. The borrower is the owner of the leased assets and therefore can depreciate the assets financed. These agreements carry a higher rate but are excellent for purchasing assets with longer effective useful lives
